We are a grassroots organization run by family members of Theresa K. Edwards, who was killed by her husband in 2012. After grieving the loss of an incredible person, our family wanted to use this loss for good. The Marigold Project was created in her memory, as Marigolds were Teresa's favorite flower.
The Marigold Project collects gently used and new purse donations year-round to sell for up to $25. Proceeds from all events are donated to a local non-profit, The Lighthouse Domestic Violence Shelter. At the Second Chance Purses events, you can expect to find many brand-name bags with tags for only $25. We also have a clearance section of bags for $5, along with a section of gently used bags for $10.
