Join the Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of State Fire Marshal for its annual Ohio State Fire Marshal Festival on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 8895 E. Main Street in Reynoldsburg. This FREE, family-friendly event celebrates Ohio’s fire service, promotes fire-safety education, and highlights the Division’s role in protecting communities across the state.
Guests can watch helicopter landings, explore MedFlight and Air Evac helicopters, meet firefighters and first responders, visit Touch-a-Truck fire engines, and enjoy K-9 training exercises and demonstrations. Additional activities include fire-safety demonstrations, inflatable bounce houses and an obstacle course, face painting, caricature drawings, an animal petting zoo, food trucks, mascots, and the Kiddie Combat Challenge with water hoses.
Visitors can also explore educational exhibits and organizational displays from the Ohio Department of Commerce, its divisions, and participating public-safety agencies. The festival begins with opening remarks from the Ohio State Fire Marshal and the National Anthem before a full day of demonstrations, exhibits, and family entertainment.
The event will also serve as a homecoming for Ohio Fire Academy alumni, offering an opportunity to see how the campus is evolving and growing to meet the needs of tomorrow.
Admission and parking are FREE. For event updates, visit the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Facebook page.
