Memorial Day Murph


Join us for the Memorial Day Murph workout, a renowned CrossFit WOD (workout of the day) designed to honor fallen soldiers. Named after Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who sacrificed his life during Operation Red Wings, this workout tests endurance, strength, and mental toughness. We welcome participants of all fitness levels, offering scaled versions to ensure everyone can safely participate. Here's what the classic Murph workout entails: 1 Mile Run: Start with a 1-mile run to get warmed up and set the pace. 100 Pull-Ups: Test your upper body strength with variations for all skill levels. 200 Push-Ups: Work on your chest, triceps, and core stability with modified options. 300 Air Squats: Build strength and endurance in your lower body. 1 Mile Run: Complete the workout with another 1-mile run to finish strong. For those looking to take on an extra challenge, a 20-pound weight vest or body armor is optional. If you're new to CrossFit or intense workouts, don't worry—our trainers will provide scalable options, including band-assisted pull-ups, knee push-ups, and fewer repetitions, depending on your fitness level. You can also participate as a team, sharing the workload with friends or fellow members.
