Run for the Fallen
Fort Jackson will hold its annual Run for the Fallen 5k Run/Walk to honor fallen service members and the surviving families of South Carolina.
The community is invited to join soldiers and leaders as they pay tribute to those service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Soldiers running will don bibs with the name of a South Carolina fallen soldier to honor their memory and sacrifice.
Registration the day of the event will begin at 7:00 a.m. with opening remarks by Maj. Gen. Daryl Hood, Fort Jackson commanding general, at 7:30. The run will begin at 8:00 a.m.
The event is open to the public.
