Bierkeller Fasching (Karneval) Dance Party and Garten Festival
Had enough of Winter? Not missing Fall, nor ready yet for our SC Spring-Summer? Then this "Fifth Season" is for you, Bierkeller friends. Come celebrate Fasching 2024!
First, a note on the name. Fasching is what Bavarians (especially in Munich) call Karneval. And Karneval is what we Southerners (especially in Louisiana) call Mardi Gras. So... that should tell you what to expect. Party time. The "Fifth Season." Dedicated to Fun.
What to expect:
Friday February 2 - Weiberfastnacht (Oh, yes, it's Ladies Night)
Where: Bierkeller Bierhall (Indoors)
When: February 2, 2024, 5:00-9:00 p.m.
Music: by Columbi-ja legend and former Germany resident DJ Irv.
Dress attire: Fancy, or Throwback 70’s/80’s/90’s
Dinner Specials: Split Pea Soup with Smoked Ham (Erbsensuppe), Meatloaf sliders (Frikadellen)
Drink Specials: Wine and bubbly specials, Traditional Kölsch Beer Service

Saturday February 3 – Fasching Costume Garten Party
Where: Biergarten (outdoors, indoor seating and restrooms available)
When: February 3, 2024, 2:00-7:00 pm
Music: 3:00-7:00; Partly Cloudy Brass Band
Local Vendors: 2:00-7:00
Dress: COSTUMES! (not required but highly encouraged, there is a contest!)
Food Specials: Split Pea Soup with Smoked Ham (Erbsensuppe), Meatloaf sliders (Frikadellen)
Drink Specials: Wine and bubbly specials, Gluhwein, Hot Chocolate, and MORE!
