Empowering Communities: Bridging Water Divides Locally & Globally
Speaker: Ben Jurek, an education manager at Drink Local Drink Tap, is a former US Army member passionate about water scarcity education. He revamped the program in his two-year tenure, making it more accessible and relevant for educators and youth.
Event Summary:
Drink Local Drink Tap is a global non-profit working on water equity and quality as a human right through projects, education, and events, emphasizing local and international water issues for practical solutions and community engagement.
A Tu Bishvat Seder will precede our Shabbat dinner, where we will sample a variety of fruits and nuts. JSC will provide a catered dinner and beverages. Dessert contributions are appreciated!
YOU MUST RSVP BY JANUARY 21 TO ATTEND THE DINNER.
To be eco-responsible, please bring your own dish, silverware and wine glass. We will also continue to have disposable items available.
JSC GUEST POLICY: We love having guests join us for our programs! Guests are welcome to join us for two complimentary events. After that, the fee is $36 per event. These fees may be credited towards an annual JSC membership.
