Spark For Hope 5K
It is time for a change for those who live in the dark! We need to help them light a path to the LIGHT and recovery!
Have you ever lost someone close to you or someone you knew due to suicide? Wishing you could hear their voice or give them a hug one last time? On May 28, 2019, my life and my families were forever changed at the loss of my daughter, Taylor. She was just 25 years old, mother of TWO little boys (AJ and Carter), nurse and my other half. Her world became so dark that she could not find her way back to the light.
After I watched her struggle with the above issues for many years and end in losing her, I have, along with my family and friends, made a promise to make sure that no one else must struggle with getting help. Mental health issues are REAL and the number of suicides and suicide attempts are increasing daily.
The primary purpose of Igniting a Spark to Prevent Suicide, Inc. is to raise awareness of suicide and financially support organizations and/or individuals who provide programming to assist individuals who may suffer from suicide ideation. We want to help get these individuals the chance to get out of the dark and into the light.
Our event is "Spark For HOPE; 2022 Suicide Prevention Night 5k Run/Walk" which will be held on Saturday, July 23rd 7:30pm to 10:30pm. at the General Rosecrans Elementary School in Sunbury, OH. We are also going to include an Informational Expo at the event to help promote others in our communities that can provide beneficial services to the members of the community.
