Amanda Ann Platt and The Honeycutters
Heralded as one of the best new voices in female-driven, singer-songwriter roots music, Amanda Anne Platt and The Honeycutters continue to excite with her nuanced, insightful and witty songs and the band's country roots attitude backed by influences of rock and folk. With 5 prior critically acclaimed albums, the band has become a fast-rising, national touring act and has had success in Americana Radio with singles charting in the Top 15.
There is an empathetic and charming wit ingrained in Platt's songwriting. She has a knack for accessing a deep well of emotion and applying it to her story-telling, whether she is writing from her own experiences or immersing herself into the melody of emotions in another person's life.
The band is currently touring the Midwest in support of their just released double CD "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" They have performed throughout the United States, Canada, The Netherlands, Germany, and the UK.
Performing along with Platt, The Honeycutters are Matt Smith (pedal steel and electric guitars), Rick Cooper (bass/vocals), Evan Martin (drums/vocals), and Kevin Williams
