ADL 2026 Annual Meeting: How AI Impacts Hate
Join us for the ADL Ohio River Valley Annual Meeting, where we will gather to reflect on the past year's work and look ahead to the challenges and opportunities that lie before us in the fight against antisemitism and hate.
This year's meeting will feature a special presentation by Danny Barefoot, Senior Director of the ADL Ratings and Assessments Institute, on one of the most pressing issues of our time: the role of artificial intelligence in either amplifying or countering hate.
Danny will walk us through ADL's new ADL AI IndexTM, a groundbreaking tool that evaluates leading large language models on their ability to detect and counter antisemitic and extremist tropes and narratives. As AI becomes an increasingly central part of daily life, it is essential that these technologies do not perpetuate hate and harm. The ADL AI Index highlights both the strengths and the gaps in how leading AI models respond to antisemitic and extremist content, and ADL is actively working with AI companies to help build safer platforms for everyone. Research from ADL's Center for Technology and Society has shown that AI tools can be exploited to generate antisemitic, hateful and violent content at alarming rates, underscoring the urgency of this work.
ADL is also leveraging AI for good, including through the ADL.AI: K-12 Educator Assistant, which helps teachers access trusted, expert-vetted resources for teaching about antisemitism, the Holocaust and Jewish identity.
