A Heart of Service: Simple Solution to World Hunger
“A Heart of Service: Simple Solution to World Hunger,” features Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, founder of the global school-feeding charity Mary’s Meals, alongside Catholic musician Steve Angrisano. Founded in 2002, Mary’s Meals is named for and guided by Mary, the mother of Jesus, and rooted in a mission of faith, service, and hope. The organization provides daily meals in school to children living in poverty – currently reaching 2.6 million children across 16 countries, soon to be 3 million in September. This school feeding program is made possible by global grassroots giving. With 319 million people facing hunger and international aid declining, MacFarlane offers a timely and relevant perspective on how community-led solutions can make a lasting impact. His message – centered on the idea that small acts of love by anyone can transform lives – is especially resonant during this Jubilee Year of Hope. This event is free and open to the public; no registration is required.
