Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI), the region’s leading nonprofit providing comprehensive services for people who are blind or visually impaired, has partnered with TriHealth to offer “Stepping On,” an evidence-based program designed to reduce fall risk and increase confidence among adults aged 65 and older with vision loss. The free seven-week series begins on February 18, 2026, and features TriHealth guest experts, including occupational and physical therapists, pharmacist, vision specialist and community safety expert, delivering practical strategies on:
- Simple, engaging exercises to improve balance and strength
- How medications can increase fall risk
- Reducing fall hazards at home
- Smart approaches to staying safe and steady outside the home
- How vision impacts balance and mobility
- The role of vitamin D and calcium in preventing fall-related injuries
Series sessions for the free seven-week program are 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Wednesdays, February 18 through April 1. Reservations for the free seven-week program must be made by January 28 by contacting Kathy Kessler at [email protected] or 513-487-4217.
