Appalachian Flow Moving Stories Showcase
Urban Appalachian Community Coalition, Originary Arts Initiative, and Harriet Beecher Stowe House presents the annual Appalachian Flow Showcase at The Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum. This year's theme will be MOVING STORIES and we will celebrate Greater Cincinnati's diverse migration heritage in memorable ways.
Ohio Poet Laureate Kari Gunter-Seymour will be our featured guest, alongside Cincinnati Poet Laureate Richard Hague, Spoken Word Artist MoPoetry Phillips, North American Book Award Winner Pauletta Hansel, award-winning multi-media artist Michael Thompson, and TCCCT's launching artist-in-residence Sherry Cook Stanforth.
Live music by Tangled Roots and local Columbia-Tusculum musician April Combs Mann. Inspiring writing and art contributions by UACC Place Keepers. Bring family and friends to this community celebration to enjoy stories... poetry, prose, and spoken word...visual art...heritage music. We'll offer a heritage food tasting table, live art demos, and dynamic community resource tables, too!
