The Law Practice of Dennison Keller, LLC invites you to attend our 3rd Annual Elder Care Symposium. We are excited to have two international experts join us on September 12th. The event will be held at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland; tickets are on sale now.
Dr. Wendy Hulko, PhD, from British Columbia, is our keynote speaker for this year’s event. Dr. Hulko is a Professor at Thompson Rivers University and has worked with older adults for over 30 years as a care aide, hospital social worker, government policy advisor, educator, and researcher. Dr. Hulko will show us how gender and race impact a person's risk of developing dementia, as well as the care they receive after diagnosis. She will also lead a breakout session on how where someone chooses to age can impact the care they receive.
We will also have Jane Verity join us virtually from Australia. She is the founder of Dementia Care International and has educated thousands of healthcare professionals and families around the globe through her Spark of Life Philosophy. Jane is an international leader and dementia expert who focuses on the psychological and emotional care of people with dementia. She will help participants develop a better understanding of how to connect with people who have dementia to prevent and address concerning behaviors.
Other experts in the field of aging will examine contributing factors that cause seniors to be impacted by hoarding more than younger populations, teach us the best ways to maintain our brain health as we age, take a closer look at the mental health of aging Americans, and much more.
Tickets are available for the general public and elder care professionals wanting to secure CEUs.
