Hearts Afire Valentine Pageant

Does your 1-4 year-old have what it takes to be crowned Loveland “royalty”? Does your child like to dress up and be a ham on stage or strut down the runway? If so, enter your little sweetheart into the 2nd annual Hearts Afire Valentine Pageant! It’s all part of the City of Loveland’s Hearts Afire Weekend. Have fun competing for the titles and even more FUN spreading LOVE all over LOVELAND! The Hearts Afire Valentine Pageant is a baby/toddler fundraiser pageant to benefit a local cause and is sponsored by the City of Loveland. All funds will go toward the Loveland Stage Company, a not-for-profit, award-winning theater located in the heart of Historic Downtown Loveland. LSC is entirely operated by volunteers and is dedicated to serving the community by providing quality performing arts experiences. Currently, the theater is raising funds to replace its HVAC system — an estimated $100k repair. The 2024 Hearts Afire Valentine Pageant will be held at the Loveland Stage Company on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 1-3 p.m. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Pageant contestants can begin arriving at 11:30 a.m. and must be signed in and ready by 12:30 p.m. to compete. The Loveland Stage Company is located at 111 S. Second Street, Loveland, Ohio, 45140. A special guest will be at the Hearts Afire Valentine Pageant: Camila Media, Miss Elementary America Kindergarten . Camila is a Loveland resident. Be sure to say hello! Admission to the pageant is $5 (payable by cash). All funds raised from the Hearts Afire Valentine Pageant will go toward the replacement of the Loveland Stage Company’s HVAC system. A panel of local judges will vote for the top winners in each title category: Little Miss Valentine and Little Mr. Cupid – Ages 1 and 2 Miss Valentine and Mr. Cupid – Ages 3 and 4 Fan Favorite – $1 per vote (No limit on how many times one can vote) Contestants are encouraged to be creative with their costume choice. We do NOT have any requirement for costumes – we simply want everyone to have fun. Dress your little Miss Valentine in all things LOVE or your Little Mr. Cupid like the winged god of love…These are just suggestions! Because this is an infant/toddler competition, we understand the contestants will need help. Contestants will be walked across the stage alone or, if unable to walk, escorted by their parent/guardian. If the child would like to and is able to safely walk across the stage, then we encourage them to do so. However, parents are not allowed to be in costume. Winners in each category will be given a prize as per the official contest rules. Prizes will be awarded to each title winner. All entrants will receive a participation certificate. The cost to enter the pageant is $15 and $10 for each sibling, payable by check. A check will need to be made payable to the “City of Loveland” and mailed with your registration form. Registration fees are non-refundable. Entries must be received by January 31, 2024. Late or day-of registrations will not be accepted.
