Harmony Hill 2024 Summer Kickoff Weekend

May 25, 2-9pm After a long cold winter, we are ready to get down to some real relaxation... singing, dancing, and enjoying fine wine and great food. It's hard to believe that Patti and I planted our first vines on this hilltop 23 years ago. Yet, here we still are, providing a place where friends can gather in the beauty and tranquility of this peaceful country setting. Not to be undone by years past, The Hill will feature the warm melodic sounds of Tulsa Oklahoma's Mark Gibson. Mark was a crowd favorite after playing only one gig here in 2021, and has become a national treasure. We are so excited to have him back on The Hill to help us kick off this summer of 2024 from 5-9 on Saturday. https://www.markgibsonmusic.com We are a picnic venue as always, but if you would like to leave the picnic basket at home, The Hill is hosting Tater Patch Wood Smoked BBQ mobile cuisine to introduce our guests to the finest local BBQ has to offer. https://www.facebook.com/taterpatchbbq Memorial Day Monday will feature another Harmony Hill favorite: John Ford Blues Society from 4pm-8pm. Doors open at 2, so bring your picnic lunch and arrive early if you want a seat. John performs a unique mix of American Roots, Traditional Blues and Soulful Classic Rock. Ford is a veteran of the Cincinnati music scene, playing classic rock, punk and alt country in various bands, influenced by everything from classic & college rock to country blues. currently playing a repertoire of self-composed American roots music. “I’ve been writing songs since my early teens” John explains, “Whether it be songs I’ve written or an old song from the 1930’s, I play what I fall in love with. Many times people ask if I’m doing all original music; sometimes I do, depending on the venue, but sometimes it’s just an old Son House song or a new Chris Smither song that people have never heard, that I consider to be great. http://www.JohnFordBlues.com So, come on out, bring a friend or two, and help us kick 2024 off in style. Adults only, musician tips are expected, and pets are always welcome.
