STORYTIME AT HAPPEN, INC. ON SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH WITH JULIE WHITNEY AND ASTRA THE LONELY AIRPLANE!
10-10:45am Storytime With The Author
Local author and PR Pro Julie Whitney will be reading her rhyming picture book,
Astra The Lonely Airplane at Happen, Inc. from 10am-10:45 on Saturday, March 25th. This Storytime is free and open to the public. Reservations are required, and may be made online at www.HappenInc.com. The book is appropriate for children PreK-Grade 3. Everyone attending will receive a free, laminated Astra bookmark.
Whitney will be wearing her pilot uniform, and showing children a model of the real Astra The Lonely Airplane, and showing the videos in which Captain Dan gives them a tour of the real airplane, and also one of Astra taking off. She will also be quizzing the children from the two-page-glossary to see how much they recall after listening to the book and watching the videos, and taking questions and answers as well.
11:00am-Noon Book Signing With The Author
A book signing will take place immediately following the Storytime at 11am, with doors opening at 10:45am. The first 10 families to arrive for will receive a free, personally signed copy of the book. Books will also be available for purchase that day for $19.99 plus tax, a discount off of the $24.95 retail price, and all will be personally signed by the author.
Noon-4pm Open Studio
Free aviation-related activities for the entire family celebrating paper airplanes and things that fly for the entire family, so be sure to stick around!
