This Labor Day and as we kick off Workforce Development Month (September), join the Workforce Council of Southwest Ohio (WCSO) on Monday, September 1st for a day at the ballpark, as The Cincinnati Reds will be taking on the Toronto Blue Jays and celebrating the valuable contributions of workers to our local community and economy! A portion of each ticket sold through this offer will be donated to the Workforce Council as they continue to offer resources to the community. Be sure to meet us in the Fan Zone, along with many other companies and organizations seeking talent and/or offering services for professional development.
WCSO’s mission is to help create a thriving local economy by upskilling workers and connecting them to employers. WCSO is an independent and nonpartisan nonprofit, with a diverse Board of Directors comprised of local leaders from business, education, organized labor, nonprofit, and government. We are the local recipient of federal workforce dollars from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and collaborate with regional workforce partners to prepare youth for careers, upskill workers, and support employers with their recruitment and retention efforts. We serve employers and job seekers through the OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Cincinnati-Hamilton County Center, and we serve youth through a combination of in-school and community programs. All are welcome at the OMJ Center!
