Amnesty International Write for Rights
Write for Rights is a global movement, and our event is just one of thousands happening across the United States and around the world. This initiative is the world's largest human rights letter-writing event, where hundreds of thousands of people unite to write letters advocating for prisoners of conscience, human rights defenders, and individuals at risk of human rights violations.
This year’s campaign features people from around the world, all connected because their human rights have been violated. All because of who they are and what they do.
🌍 Why Write for Rights Matters:
Letters have the extraordinary power to change lives. Over Amnesty International's 62 years of tireless human rights activism, countless individuals have been freed because of the actions taken by activists who participate in Write for Rights. Your letters and online actions can provide hope to former prisoners of conscience, human rights defenders, torture survivors, and those on death row. They also have the potential to sway the minds of decision-makers.
