Cincinnati Brass Band Concert - Dragons!
Looking for something totally out of this world? This is the concert for you! Please join us as we present one of the most epic pieces ever written for Brass Band (Philip Sparke’s The Year of the Dragon), an exciting arrangement of the movie score to How to Train Your Dragon, and an astounding world-premiere performance of a piece by composer Samantha Hogan. This “hot off the presses” piece will feature a new friend of our band, oboist Julia Zalusky, who is currently completing her doctorate in oboe performance at CCM. We hope you will enjoy these ethereal pieces, as well as additional music by Astor Piazzolla, Randy, Edelman, John Powell, and Chuck Mangione, as we present our first concert of the Fall season!
