MIKE CANNON is a New York City-based comedian, podcaster, writer, and actor. Outside of stand-up, Mike has made a name for himself in both acting and writing. He worked as a contributing producer, writer and panelist for ViceTV's Super Maximum Retro Show hosted by Chris Distefano. He earned critical acclaim for his performance as lead character Mike in the feature film Timing, available on Amazon Prime, and he can be seen on the popular series Friday Night Pints and Answer The Internet (Barstool Sports), Stupid Questions with Chris Distefano and The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore (Comedy Central), and Double Cross with Blake Griffin, Greatest Ever, and Top Funniest (TruTV). Additional appearances include Failosophy
and Money From Strangers (MTV), Red Eye (Fox), and MSG’s The Bracket. He was a contributing writer and performer on MTV2’s Guy Code, co-host of Cosmopolitan magazine’s Sexy vs Skanky, and a featured performer on VH1’s Why Am I Still Single? Mike currently has two new podcasts "Beautiful Boys" with Andy Haynes, and "Fart Carnival" with Brendan Sagalow; and his latest special on youtube "Traumatized Animal" has nearly 200k views.
Commonwealth Comedy Club is housed in the recently renovated, historic former Tower Methodist Church, originally built in 1914. It is no longer a church! Rather, we have converted the purpose of this beautiful old building to bringing you exquisitely curated live entertainment. We have, however, gone to great lengths to preserve the original character of the building while updating for it’s new purpose. We retained all the original stained glass windows and custom-built, curved pews.
We have added a full concession stand with draft beer and wine, as well as a full bar. We partner with local Dayton, KY business Kate’s Catering for our prepared food options. We have added full lighting and sound systems, as well as a complete broadcast-quality video system for recording events and live podcasts. We are exclusively partnered with Third Rule Media to produce our recorded content.
