Cosmic Gaming Night at the Observatory


Step into the celestial realm as we embark on a journey through space-themed board games and tabletop roleplaying adventures. It's a night of cosmic fun and astronomical excitement for gamers of all ages. $7 for kids, $10 for adults Walk-Up Games: Moon Adventure Game: In this collaborative game, players work together to solve a series of challenges grounded in real science about living and doing research on the Moon. Great for families to do together! Play time is 25 minutes. Space Team: Spaceteam is a fast-paced, cooperative shouting card game where you work together to repair a malfunctioning spaceship. 3-6 players; play time is 5 minutes; recommended age 10+ Space Alert: Players become crew members of a small spaceship scanning dangerous sectors of the galaxy. 1-5 players; play time is 30 minutes; recommended age 12+ MonDRAWsity: Imagine seeing a real alien stomping through your backyard. Now imagine describing what it looked like to a police sketch artist. That is exactly what you are expected to do while playing the frantic drawing party game MonsDRAWsity. 3-8 players; play time is 10 minutes; recommended age 8+ Dixit: An imagery based story like game. We will talk about how constellations were created and how imagination and science were used to make the sky make sense in the pre-industrialized world. 3-6 players; play time is 30 minutes; recommended age 8+ Reservation Required Games: - Numenera: A science fantasy tabletop role-playing game set in the distant future. 2-6 players; play time is 3 hours; recommended age 12+ - Slower Than Light: A letter writing game with a scifi setting. 3-5players; play time is 1.5 hours ; recommended age 12+ Who we are: Super Heroines, Etc. is a non-profit organization using the power of fandom to fight for equity and representation. We gather superheroines together in safe environments for empowering events and creative change in their communities. In addition, we attend local, regional, and national conventions to discuss representation in media. Through our Agents of Change program, we provide tools and support for superheroines to be agents of positive change and create movement toward a more inclusive and equitable social transformation.
