Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra Presents “Labors of Love” on Labor Day Weekend
The Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra will present “Labors of Love” on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Tom Stone Amphitheater in Blue Ash Nature Park. This Labor Day weekend concert led by Artistic Director Michael Chertock is presented as a musical valentine to working people.
The program features a selection of romantic masterpieces such as Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet” Fantasy-Overture, one of classical music’s most beloved depictions of Shakespeare’s tragic lovers. Additional masterworks on the program include Ravel’s “Bolero” and Wagner’s dramatic “Love Death” from his opera “Tristan and Isolde”.
The orchestra will also perform selections from Leonard Bernstein’s iconic “West Side Story” and a medley of songs from “A Chorus Line” including “What I Did for Love.” Also on the program, BAMSO is pleased to present its premiere of Florence Price’s “Adoration,” a beautiful work by the groundbreaking 20th century African American composer.
The Tom Stone Amphitheater provides an idyllic setting for this musical evening under the stars. Located in the scenic Blue Ash Nature Park adjacent to the Blue Ash Recreation Center, the venue offers excellent acoustics and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying classical music with family and friends. Bring your blankets and chairs for seating. The concession stand will be open prior to the concert serving hamburgers, hotdogs, brats, chips, snacks, and soft drinks. A portion of the concession sales goes to the orchestra.
