Enjoy the ArtWorks Black Art Walk Tour beginning and ending at blaCk Coffee Lounge on July 20.
ArtWorks is proud to offer a Black Art Walk Tour in partnership with The Voice of Black Cincinnati. Guests can begin the journey at blaCk Coffee Lounge with a flavorful beverage before joining an ArtWorks Mural Tour Docent and Apprentice for an immersive exploration of public art celebrating Cincinnati’s African American art history.
This tour showcases murals of iconic figures like blues pioneer Mammie Smith, heavyweight champion Ezzard Charles, and the legendary performer James Brown. Attendees also encounter powerful works by Black Art Speaks Cincinnati Artist Collective and Gee Horton. This tour offers a captivating blend of history and contemporary artistry, celebrating the profound impact of Black artists on Cincinnati’s cultural landscape.
