Dayton Contemporary Dance Company presents a stunning evening of dances by women choreographers rooted in DCDC’s rich dance legacy. In celebration of women’s history month, this evening of luscious dance works makes way for four exquisite pieces that feature the incomparably strong women choreographers of DCDC. Audiences will enjoy Traffic, an explosive classic creation by Artistic Director Debbie-Blunden Diggs, a mainstage premiere of Elizabeth Ramsey’s Deep End, recently featured by OhioDance, and American Soliloquy crafted by Princess Grace Honoraria recipient Crystal Michelle. The evening concludes with Countess V. Winfrey’s HuMAN/NAture, which explores the vitality and fragility of the human condition through epic dance storytelling rooted in the African American experience. This encore performance features a perfect blend of original music and set designs sure to bring the audience to its feet.
