The Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Choral Society will present a collaborative concert featuring a diverse program of classical and contemporary works on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Armstrong Chapel in Indian Hill, Ohio. The Indian Hill High School Premieres will join the collaborators for this program of celebratory music, which will be conducted by Michael Chertock and Philip Clary.
Jubilant, exultant, and devotional, the concert’s signature piece Gloria will be performed by the combined choirs with brass, timpani, and organ. Inspired by the Latin text from the Ordinary of the Mass, composer John Rutter based much of the melodic material on Gregorian chants. The program also includes Mussorgsky’s beloved Pictures at an Exhibition arranged for brass choir; the majestic Widor Toccata featuring Michael Chertock as organ soloist; and Like An April Day by Barbara York, commissioned by the Miami University Brass Guild.
Armstrong Chapel, located at 5125 Drake Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45243, provides an intimate and acoustically rich setting for this collaboration. The venue's architectural beauty and superior acoustics make it an ideal location to experience this musical event.
