Find Your Match - Become a Visiting Volunteer
At its Volunteer Matching Event, LBFE will introduce prospective volunteers to its Visiting Volunteer Program and the 24 older adults currently waiting to be matched with a compassionate companion.
For over 27 years, LBFE has worked to ensure that no elder in Greater Cincinnati has to face aging alone. Through simple, consistent friendship, the nonprofit brings warmth and human connection to some of our most isolated neighbors.
While attendees won’t meet the elders face-to-face, they will have the chance to read real profiles, hear firsthand stories from current volunteers and elders, and understand the matching process that turns strangers into family. It’s an opportunity to learn how a small gesture—just a monthly visit or phone call—can bring lasting joy and purpose to both sides of the relationship.
