This program pairs projected visual art with live orchestral performance, featuring works inspired by Vincent van Gogh, Andy Warhol, and Viktor Hartmann. Highlights include the world premiere of Flowers from Vincent by local composer Andrew Strawn, inspired by three iconic Van Gogh paintings; the regional premiere of Michael Daugherty’s Fifteen, a vibrant symphonic fantasy on the art of Andy Warhol; and Model Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, orchestrated by Ravel, transforms visual art into one of the most thrill...
