Stand Up for Parkinson's

On Sunday, December 10th at 7pm comedians Paul Farahvar and Joe Antonacci perform at Zanies Comedy Club in Rosemont, IL, in Stand Up for Parkinson’s - an evening to benefit the Parkinson’s Foundation. All the proceeds from this event will be given to Parkinson’s Foundation (Parkinson.org). Headliner Paul Farahvar delights audiences with his unique, quick witted dry humor, centered on being an aging bachelor and former litigator. After becoming a staple on the Chicago Comedy Scene for years at Laugh Factory and Zanies, he began touring in 2016, first as a feature for headliners like Demetri Martin and Gary Gulman, and later as a headliner. He was runner up in the Chicago Reader for Best Standup Comedian in 2021 and was voted "Top 40 Up and Coming Comedians" in 2017. Prior to being a comedian, Farahvar was a trial litigator, earning the "Top 40 under 40" honor among judges and peers in Illinois. Paul’s father retired as a respected orthopedic surgeon and former President of St. Mary's Resurrection Hospital in Chicago and was diagnosed with a form of Parkinson’s disease in 2020. Boxing ring announcer turned comedian Joe Antonacci is known for his televised boxing ring appearances in a tuxedo on ESPN's Friday Night Fights, NBC Sports Network, CBS Sports, Fox Sports, HBO, Showtime, and GoFightLiveTV. Nicknamed 'Generous Joe', he donates all of his ring earnings to assist injured and retired amateur and professional boxers in need of help to overcome disabilities incurred as a result of bouts in the ring. Joe recently reveals his Parkinson's Diagnosis and how comedy has helped him on a WGN TV special.
