Wilmette Art Fair: Wilmette, Illinois (2nd Annual)

This exciting show, in partnership with the Village of Wilmette, takes place on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4 in the heart of Wilmette’s charming downtown. This lakeside community festival features 100 juried artists showcasing and selling their unique pieces including paintings, photography, ceramics, furniture, jewelry, wood, fiber and more. Live music, artist demonstrations, activities for kids in the Kids Art Zone including facepainting and a new self-portrait project, the very popular “Start to Paint” on-site painting classes, selfie stations, and designated “Kid Friendly” booths where artists welcome children into their space to learn more about the art making process, add to the family-friendly vibe of this event. Festival food on site and several restaurants just steps away from the artists’ booths will ensure that no one goes hungry! Admission is free, there is plenty of free parking, and the festival grounds are wheel-friendly with access for wheelchairs and strollers. Attendees are invited to bring their gently used art to the festival where it will be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a nonprofit that distributes furnishings and art to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Several artists from this show are participating in Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project. Artists place a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth, and if the piece is sold, 10% of the sale will be donated to Amdur’s charitable partner, which is the Chicago Furniture Bank.
