RJM Strategy Group CPR/AED Naperville Workshop
According to the American Heart Association, “approximately every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. will have a heart attack.” Would you know what to do if a loved one, coworker or neighbor went into cardiac arrest? Understanding how to perform CPR and use an AED are essential skills to possess.
RJM Strategy Group – a leader in safety, security and law enforcement for residents and business owners both locally and across the country, wants to equip individuals with the necessary skills and confidence to provide critical assistance through their upcoming CPR/AED workshop.
Registration is being taken now for the training, planned for Wednesday, July 24 from 6:30-8:00 pm and will be held at the Naperville VFW located at 908 Jackson Avenue; it is designed for youth and adults ages 13 and up. Workshop check-in will begin at 6:00 pm. Youth ages 13-17 will need to bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian in order to participate.
Jim Geovanes of RJM Strategy Group, who is a certified CPR/AED instructor and seasoned aquatic safety and risk management professional will lead the workshop. According to Jim, “Overall, CPR education and certification is crucial for both personal and public health preparedness, ensuring timely and effective response to medical emergencies.”
“Heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death in the U.S.,” explained Ray McGury, president of RJM Strategy Group. “Our goal is to provide the opportunity for people of all ages to understand the importance of learning CPR and how to use an AED. While learning these skills may feel challenging, we want to take the mystery out of the process and give you the knowledge and confidence to help make a difference.”
The cost to attend the training is $25/person for non-certified learning purposes only or $40/person to receive a two-year certification. Payment will be taken the day of the training via cash, check or Venmo. However, interested participants are asked to pre-register by emailing [email protected] or calling 630-360-1965 and providing your name, address, and phone number. Attendees will be required to sign a waiver the day of the event prior to participating.
