Heavy Diamond Ring Live with Joe Armstrong and Stelth Ulvang (The Lumineers)

This is an intimate, seated dinner with a show experience featuring Joe Armstrong, Heavy Diamond Ring, and Stelth Ulvang (The Lumineers). Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Joe Armstrong, whose 2024 release "Burn It Down" channels his dual passions for music and social commentary. A sharp lyricist with a gift for both humor and honesty, Armstrong’s work spans loud, fist-raising rock anthems and hushed, introspective acoustic ballads reminiscent of Neil Young’s duality. Beyond his own music, Armstrong’s Independent’s Day podcast has hosted in-depth conversations with artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek, and members of Son Volt and Iron and Wine, reflecting his deep ties within the indie music community. Having spent nearly a decade in political media, Armstrong’s songs carry a sense of urgency and empathy, with Burn It Down offering both a rallying cry for democracy and a meditation on navigating turbulent times with clarity and purpose. Sharing the stage with Armstrong, is Heavy Diamond Ring. The Denver-based Americana outfit led by vocalist/trumpeter Sarah Anderson and guitarist Paul DeHaven, has steadily carved a resonant space in the roots music landscape with their lush harmonies and emotionally rich songwriting. Their latest album, "Wildflower Lane," released June 13 via Gitcha Records, showcases the band’s signature blend of folk, rock, and Americana, shaped by nearly two decades of collaboration between Anderson and DeHaven. Backed by longtime bandmates Blake Stepan, Mike Lang, and Orion Tate Ignelzi, HDR leans into raw, analog textures and stripped-down production, exploring themes of enduring love, connection, and introspection. Their newest music video for “Don’t Go It Alone,” directed by La La Land executive producer Jasmine McGlade, premiered June 27 and adds another visual layer to the band’s already heartfelt catalog. Stelth Ulvang's solo music is a dynamic blend of folk, alt-country, and diverse influences, highlighted by instruments like accordion, piano, and guitar. Renowned for his barefoot performances, he captivates audiences with heartfelt storytelling and dynamic melodies. From soulful ballads to spirited folk-rock anthems, his music resonates with themes of love, loss, and adventure, forging a genuine connection with listeners while showcasing his versatility as both a storyteller and a musician.
