Cooking Up a Cure, the all-star culinary fundraising event, is back! Chaired by Chef Cleetus Friedman, this unforgettable evening unites some of the Chicagoland’s top chefs, breweries, wineries, and distilleries to raise vital funds and bring awareness of scleroderma, benefitting the Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago. Be a part of somethings special, Thursday, September 25, at Theater on the Lake for a night of exceptional food, craft drinks, and inspiring community—coming together for a powerful cause. All proceeds from the Cooking Up a Cure event support the Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago’s ongoing mission of providing support, education and research for scleroderma patients and their families. Scleroderma, or systemic sclerosis, is a chronic autoimmune disease, in which the body’s normal immune/defense system turns against itself. The event indulges guests in a sampling of culinary treats from an incredible line-up of local restaurants, beer, wine and specialty cocktails. Music, silent auction and other fun surprises round out the event.
