Chicago, IL – On Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, The Not That Late Show will host an exclusive interview with Medea Benjamin, Co-Founder of CODEPINK, and Danaka Katovich, National Co-Director of CODEPINK, at the Lincoln Lodge in Wicker Park. They will discuss their views on the upcoming Democratic National Convention and their efforts in advocating for Palestinian rights.
The Not That Late Show, a monthly late-night variety show, showcases comedy, music, and in-depth interviews with influential figures in Chicago. Previous notable guests include State Senator Mike Simmons, Chicago Urban Historian Shermann "Dilla" Thomas, and Mayor Brandon Johnson. This August, we are honored to welcome two leading voices from CODEPINK, a feminist grassroots organization dedicated to ending U.S. warfare and imperialism, promoting peace and human rights, and reallocating resources towards essential public services like healthcare, education, and green jobs.
Hosted by the charismatic Justin Swinson, The Not That Late Show offers a unique blend of entertainment that mirrors traditional late-night talk shows, but with a distinct Chicago flair. Each month, the show features fresh material inspired by current events, alongside performances from up-and-coming musical acts and engaging interviews with prominent Chicagoans. It’s part comedy show, part concert, part talk show—guaranteed to be a memorable night out.
