Acclaimed author and activist Eve L. Ewing will join The Not That Late Show for a special live interview on Wednesday, May 21, at 7:30 PM at The Lincoln Lodge.
Ewing is a celebrated sociologist, poet, playwright, and comics writer whose work masterfully bridges academic research with cultural storytelling. She is best known for her books, including Ghosts in the Schoolyard, and her acclaimed run on Marvel’s Ironheart, whose TV adaptation debuts this June. Through her work, Ewing sparks conversations about equity, history, and the imagination of new futures.
The Not That Late Show is a POC- and queer-led late-night talk show featuring an ensemble cast of Chicago comedians, who create new material every month. Hosted by Justin Swinson, the show takes place at The Lincoln Lodge every third Wednesday and showcases emerging local musicians alongside interviews with some of Chicago’s most notable voices. Past guests have included State Senator Mike Simmons, Medea Benjamin of the grassroots feminist organization CODEPINK, and Mayor Brandon Johnson.
