Featuring The Caged Bird Sings, a multidisciplinary masterpiece by Julianna Rubio Slager and Kady Debelak inspired by Maya Angelou’s iconic poem; an excerpt from Frida Kahlo, a contemporary dance by Silvita Diaz Brown that bridges past and present experiences; Transcendence, Tobin James’s reflective ballet on overcoming adversity; What’s a Woman Worth, a spoken word and movement collaboration inspired by Quina Aragon’s poetry; and a bold new work by Rachel Hutsell, former NYCB dancer, honoring modern womanhood.
