East Chicago 4th District Councilwoman Stacy Winfield to Host 5th Annual Breast Cancer Walk
Councilwoman Winfield will be hosting her 5th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness walk. This year will be special she will be having four survivors leading her walk , Ruby Guzman, Brenda Davis, Gloribee Velasquez
and Angela Austin. The walk will be extra special due to Winfield having a 90yr breast and lung cancer Survivor. Ms Drue Frazier is a 29yr Breast cancer survivor and a 14yr lung cancer survivor. Ms Fraizer has 2 granddaughters that are breast cancer survivors that will be escorting her and taking that Lap for Love of behalf of themselves and grandmother. What a blessing it will be. Each year Winfield promotes her walk and ask ffamilies to submit a picture of their survivor. She produces a video naming it For the love of Shero's. She also have a wall of Shero's with many survivors pictures. At the beginning of her walk, she has a ceremony, balloon release and walk begins. Survivors sets up tables to create awareness and give away trinklets. Winfield ends with raffling off gifts for the survivors. Winfield states that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but they also walk on behalf of all cancer survivors. Please bring your families out and support this worthy event.
