Senior Suburban Orchestra Free Summer Sight Reading Sessions
Both sessions will focus on Gustav Holst. During the July session, we will read The Perfect Fool Ballet Suite, Op. 39, Beni Mora, Oriental Suite in E major Op. 20. No 1, A Moorside Suite and, if time permits, St. Paul’s Suite. On the menu for August will be The Planets.
The Orchestra’s conductor, Dan Pasquale D’Andrea, has been with the orchestra since its inception in 2000, and has helped develop the orchestra into an award-winning 40+ piece performing organization, which presents up to 15 concerts per year for venues such as retirement homes, schools, and community organizations.
There are openings for all strings and selected woodwinds, brass and percussion. There is no charge to participate and no age limit. Bring your own instrument and stand.
