Senior Suburban Orchestra Free Family & Friends Concert
The Senior Suburban Orchestra (SSO), now in its 24th season, warmly invites you to a Family and Friends Concert. During this concert the SSO will feature the music of Sousa, Verdi and Lalo. The program also includes two medleys. The first one, selections from Gigi, commemorates the 50th anniversary of the stage version and the second medley, Greater Loesser, a sing-along arranged by orchestra member Ron Baumgardner, is a collection of songs of the singer/songwriter Frank Loesser.
The Orchestra’s conductor, Dan Pasquale D’Andrea, has been with the orchestra since its beginning in 2000, and has helped develop the orchestra into an award-winning 40+ piece performing organization, which presents up to 15 concerts per year for venues such as retirement homes, schools, and community organizations. Although there is no charge for the concert, donations are appreciated.
