About this event
This growing season, we will offer a monthly series of workshops at our South Chicago Farm to support the development of local aspiring growers. A ticket for the workshop is $100; we. are offering a reduced cost ticket of $25 in exchange for 3 workshare hours at our South Chicago farm. Workshare hours need to be completed a week in advance of the workshop date in order for the reduced cost to be honored. If they are not completed, the ticket holder will be charged the additional $75 upon arrival to the workshop. Each workshop includes:

Drip Irrigation: In this workshop we will explore methods of crop irrigation, with a focus on automated drip irrigation. Installing drip irrigation on your farm can save you time, money and help to preserve our most valuable natural resource: water! We will cover materials required for setup, drip irrigation’s advantages and limitations, and ongoing checks and maintenance needed throughout the season.
