This growing season, we will offer a monthly series of workshops at our South Chicago Farm to support the development of local aspiring growers. A ticket for the workshop is $100; we. are offering a reduced cost ticket of $25 in exchange for 3 workshare hours at our South Chicago farm. Workshare hours need to be completed a week in advance of the workshop date in order for the reduced cost to be honored. If they are not completed, the ticket holder will be charged the additional $75 upon arrival to the workshop. Each workshop includes:

Building Raised Beds: Spring is here! Let’s activate your growing site for the season. In this workshop you’ll learn how to build raised beds, UGC style. We’ll cover site prep, materials, bed size and shaping and how to refresh your established beds each season. You’ll leave with the confidence to activate a new space or refresh your growing site for the season.
