Johnny Burgin's Blues Revue
Although blues guitar slinger Johnny Burgin now hangs his hat in Memphis, his Chicago roots run deep. Johnny learned from the Chicago blues masters and left his own mark on the scene with a legendary seven-year Wicker Park club residency and several acclaimed Delmark recordings.
Don’t miss Johnny’s annual Chicago Homecoming Blues Revue, presented at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, at the Skokie Theatre in downtown Skokie, Illinois. In addition to Johnny and his band, this year’s Revue features Chicago blues elder stateswoman Katherine Davis and rising blues harmonica star, Big Al Dorn, making his Chicago debut. The Revue will serve as the Chicago-area record release party for Burgin’s celebrated new album, “Ramblin’ from Coast to Coast” (Straight Shooter Records).
