Doors @ 6:30PM // Music @ 8:00PM // 21+ (Under 21 Allowed w/ Parent / Guardian) About Julia Klee: Julia Klee’s music is rooted in raw, emotional storytelling, with a voice that demands attention. Blending Americana, folk, and country, her songs draw from a rich mix of influences—intertwining personal experiences and vivid imagery, where every note feels like it could break wide open. Her music has resonated with a wide range of listeners. Her song “Talk” was featured in Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs, and “Hook Sung By Strangers” was personally selected by actress Tiffany Tinille for her directorial debut Albion Rose. Julia also contributed backing vocals to Joe Pug’s Messenger album, joining him on several Midwest tours and performing at Lollapalooza. She’s graced stages at City Winery, Schubas, Lincoln Hall, and the Old Town School of Folk Music, and once opened for Wayne Newton at a campground—an unforgettable experience in more ways than one. A self-taught musician, Julia weaves together country, folk, and Americana influences from icons like Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, and Joni Mitchell. Her voice quiets rooms with a soulful, commanding presence. Early moments, like auditioning for theatre legend Ben Vereen—where, despite crippling stage fright, she sang one of her original songs—helped build the confidence that led her to leave music school and chart her own path. The past few years have been transformative for Julia, as she’s written through loss and personal challenges, including a devastating betrayal that opened new emotional depths in her songwriting. Her music continues to evolve, reflecting her resilient, clear-eyed perspective. More recently, Julia’s been performing at local hotspots like Carol’s Pub and Fitzgerald’s Songwriter Night, collaborating with musicians like R&B blues legend Jimmy Burns, and joining Joe Pug for his 40th birthday show at the Old Town School of Folk Music, where she sang First Time I Saw You for a live recording. While working on a new album, she’s been sharing unpolished iPhone recordings on SoundCloud, inviting fans into the creative process, giving them a behind-the-scenes listen into her evolving sound. With a renewed sense of creative freedom and a growing fanbase, Julia Klee is sharing her songs and stories that are relatable as they are real.
