Classical Guitar Concert with Neal Alger, Sunday, 1/12 at 2 PM
Ring in the new year with live music at the Library! Lauded by the Chicago Tribune as one of the most sensitive and creative guitarists in a city filled with them and fueled by a mission to give exposure to underplayed composers, Neal Alger presents a guitar performance of classical and jazz pieces by women composers. Composers featured in this concert include Florence Price, Cécile Chaminade, Zenobia Powell Perry, Marion Bauer, Valerie Capers, Ruth Crawford Seeger, Margaret Bonds, Amy Beach, and Ethel Smyth.
