Spend an afternoon meeting up with a favorite author or getting to know a new one through our "Author Speed Dating," where the authors will shift tables and spend a few minutes talking about their books. We will also auction off a basket filled with goodies as a door prize for a randomly drawn winner. Books In Bloom will run from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel. A free book signing, open to the public, will follow the tea and fashion show. Can't attend the tea and fashion show after signing up? If you cancel by April 1, you will receive a refund of $40. No refunds will be offered after April 1. Chicago-North is reserving a small block of rooms Friday and Saturday at the hotel in case you'd like to arrive the night before or stay the night after the event. The cost is $119 per night plus taxes. The hotel is pleased to offer complimentary guest room Wi-Fi and complimentary parking. The hotel operates a free shuttle to and from O’Hare airport.
