Exploring Your Pandemic Memories
It is hard to believe it’s been five years since the Covid-19 pandemic started. People were staying indoors and working from home, restaurants were taking patrons’ temperatures, graduations were canceled, and many were stocking up on hand sanitizer and toilet paper.
Come to OPRF Museum on Tuesday, March 18, to hear author Michele Weldon give a presentation on her book, “The Time We Have: Essays on Pandemic Living,” starting at 7 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and to have signed by the author. Also, there will be opportunities for the audience to share their most surprising memories from the pandemic.
In addition to talking about the pandemic, Rossie Schwartz will be displaying portraits she took of Oak Park and River Forest families on their porches around the time of the shutdown. Schwartz is a local, lifestyle family photographer. See her portfolio at rossieschwartz.com.
