His thorough knowledge of the history of the classic tunes he plays adds a compelling perspective and his enjoyment in sharing his deep grasp of the material is palpable. As a long time resident performer he also has the distinction of having played Montrose Saloon more than anyone else, by a solid margin - something on the order of four score times. Simply put, he's great on stage - and a fine ambassador of some of the best music of the past 100-plus years.
