Your location has been changed to Chicago area.
Mark your calendar because the Main Street Fair is back, and it's bigger than ever. On Saturday, June 27, the 700 block of Main Street in Evanston fills up from 11am to 9pm with live music, local art, food, and all-day fun. Best of all, it's completely free.
Now in its second year, the fair is a true community effort, brought to life by a coalition of Evanston organizations and expanding this year into Eiden Park and down Washington Street between Custer Avenue and the west edge of the park.
Three stages will keep the music going all day. On the main stage, catch Justin Roberts in the morning, Chicago steppin' lessons led by the Black Artist Ensemble Dance Company, a True Colors Drag Flash Mob, Rosalba Valdez, and Funkadesi closing things out at 7pm. The East Stage runs a packed local lineup from 11am to 7pm, while the Kids Stage hosts performers like Jamberry, Mr. Scott's Giant Bubble Show, and Chicago Ballet Arts from noon to 4:30.
Between sets, enjoy roving entertainers and browse wares from over 100 artisans curated by Evanston Made - a mix of eclectic, family-friendly goods from makers across the country. There's also a dedicated space for kids and teens with vendors, performers, and activities throughout the day.
The Main Street Fair is presented by Main Dempster Mile, Evanston Made, the Hive Center for Book Arts, the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, Evanston Latinos, Around Evanston, Shorefront Legacy Center, and Evanston ASPA. For the full schedule and more details, visit mainstreetfair.org.
