The Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra performs at the Lincolnwood Public Library, 4000 W. Pratt, on Sunday, November 10 at 3PM. The program “All Mozart – A Lincolnwood Appreciation Concert” will be conducted by Philip Simmons. Admission is free, reservations are required, visit www.americanmusicfestivals.org.
Since its inception the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra has focused on repertoire from the classical and early romantic periods, performing 40 compositions of Mozart, including symphonies, concertos for violin and winds, overtures, arias, choral music, and works adapted for string orchestra. Mozart's music brings pleasure to performer and audience alike, along with a glimpse into the development of western music and the orchestral tradition. The November 10 concert will feature the Three Divertimenti for Strings (K136-138) and the Adagio and Fugue in C Minor.
American Music Festivals is the nonprofit presenter of the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra. In these uncertain times, the organization has renewed its commitment to the Lincolnwood community. In the last two seasons the LCO has done a number of concerts in Lincolnwood recently at the Library (Violins of Hope), and in partnership with Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation at LincolnwoodFest and the Community Center. The LCO has is currently planning a 35th Anniversary Concert in the Lincoln Hall Middle School Auditorium, which promises to bring the community together in celebration.
The November 10 “All Mozart – A Lincolnwood Appreciation Concert” is sponsored by Loeber Motors. For reservations and more information visit www.americanmusicfestivals.org.
