'West Side Stories' walking tour
Join us for our next walking tour, “West Side Stories: People and Architecture That Shaped River Forest,” on Saturday, July 26.
Stroll through the tree-lined beauty of Edgewood Place and Thatcher Avenue, where history and design go hand in hand. You’ll hear surprising tales of the people who once called these homes theirs, the celebrated architects behind them, and how some grand houses have dramatically changed over time. This neighborhood is basically an open-air museum and we’re your guides.
Tour begins at 10 a.m. sharp at the northeast corner of Lake Street and Edgewood Place. Tickets are $10; $8 for members. Spots are limited so purchase your ticket today at oprfmuseum.org or by calling 708-848-6755.
