"Cook, Eat, Grow”
Veronica Porter, owner of Ask Aunt V, is a third-generation organic farmer, chef, culinary instructor, and food educator for home and garden. Her presentation, "Cook, Eat, Grow," will focus on how and where your food is grown matters; and that using real food will maximize the taste profile and nutritional value of the ingredients you use. She is a Licensed Chef and holds a Master's of Organic Farming, a Master's of Organic Urban Farming, and is a Master Gardener and Compost Ambassador. She was a founding member, and past president of the Illinois State Farmer Veteran Coalition and Homegrown By Heroes.
A brief business meeting will be held from 6:00-6:15 p.m., followed by a social time at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m. The program is open to the public and free for first time visitors to the club. See our club information to learn about all the benefits of club membership.
